Anna Reckin

Framing a landscape, 2009

’This poem evolved from a recent collaboration with Norwich-based artist Josie Brett; in particular, a series of drawings of trees and pylons seen and sketched rapidly from a moving train. Here I am interested in the even-handedness with which Brett’s marks treat wires and hedges, trees and train tracks - evoking grids, gateways, many kinds of communications system.’

Anna Reckin’s poetry has been published in the USA and the UK. A graduate of SUNY Buffalo’s Poetics Program, she is currently living in Norwich and working on a book about landscape and experimental Anglophone poetry
